Join artist Nic Plowman for a workshop that encourages play, experimentation, and a fresh approach. Through a series of guided exercises, you’ll break, bend, and blend traditional techniques—pushing beyond observation to discover new ways of seeing and making. In the final stage, you’ll take your drawings in an unexpected direction, opening up new possibilities in process and outcomes. A workshop designed to challenge, inspire, and expand your drawing practice.

Nic Plowman leads the life drawing program at The Art Room in Melbourne and has presented workshops at the NGV, locally, and internationally. He is a finalist in this year’s Perry Prize for Drawing and the upcoming Dobell Drawing Prize at the National Art School.

Presented as part of DRAWN FROM LIFE / Nic Plowman & Sam Eyles, showing from Friday 7 March until Sunday 28 March. The workshop will be held at DRAW Space and will include a short artist talk about the show.
