Drawing Walkshop
11am-5pm Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 January, 12-5pm Thursday 21 January
The Drawing Walkshop is an opportunity for artists for whom walking is essential to their practice.
Running over five days, the Walkshop seeks to create a space for artists to connect, to walk, to make work and talk about the significance of walking to art-making.
If your practice involves drawing, painting, or photography in your surroundings, if it is a body-based practice or you create installations or sculptures using objects found while walking, or if walking is a way of arriving at creative solutions, come and share and learn.
The Walkshop will run from 11am to 5pm, Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 January and 12 to 5pm on Sunday 21 January at DRAW Space, 31A Enmore Road, Newtown, Gadigal. Artists can join the Walkshop for an hour, a day or more. Bring art materials to work at large communal tables. Join a daily walk around the surrounding area. Hang work made while walking in the gallery each day. Attendance is free.
DRAW Space will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
